Astute People has exclusively partnered with a power plant developer, owner & operator who is building a fleet of biomass power plants across North Carolina.

We’re keen to speak with experienced EIC Engineers who have experience in a power generation, industrial or heavy engineering environment. This is a chance to work across multiple assets, helping guide them through commissioning into operation.  

Responsibilities & duties.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for…

• Leading team members, ensuring maintenance, installation and calibration activities are carried out correctly.
• Take the lead on all electrical, instrumentation and controls equipment on site.
• Managing a team of two Technicians.
• Focusing on long term engineering solutions & improvements for each power plant.
• Reporting to senior management on maintenance and engineering project activity and progress.
• Acting as a subject matter expert on all controls equipment (PLCs’ EDS and communication equipment) through commissioning and general plant operations.

Professional skills and experience.

• Degree / Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering / Controls or related field.
• Experience gained in a power generation setting.
• Experience managing a team of Technicians.
• Strong fault finding and maintenance experience on PLC systems.
• Commissioning experience is desirable.
